The background
JCB Golf and Country Club needed a modern irrigation system to promote grass growth on its newly designed course.
To support this goal, Reesink Hydro-Scapes was selected as the perfect partner for the installation of a Toro Lynx Central Control system and over 1000 Toro Infinity and T5 sprinklers, as well as ongoing training to optimise irrigation outcomes.
The brief
JCB Golf and Country Club opened in 2018 with a luxury course designed and built across 240 acres of Staffordshire countryside. And, when irrigation technician Rob Brinkley started working at the club shortly after, the initial conditions were not ideal, in fact there was almost no grass on the course, and the hot and dry weather hadn’t helped matters.
To achieve high standards of turf and grass quality, the team decided to leverage an industry-leading irrigation system and sprinklers in a convenient deal that included installation, additional site visits and training from expert Toro engineers.
The results
Toro irrigation technicians visited the club every four to five weeks to ensure product satisfaction and the correct use of manufacturer guidelines during the installation.
Detailed technical reports were provided throughout this time to keep track of the project, as well as assistance with controller programming, giving the club complete peace of mind.
Rob recalls how Reesink helped him improve his knowledge and confidence, making several visits throughout the installation and thoroughly training him after the system was fully operational: “I was shown everything, including how to use the computer system, how to test and find faults and how to carry out sprinkler maintenance. The whole experience was really positive, and I wouldn’t know half as much as I do now without that.”

call away. It’s also been great to see how Rob has developed his skills and knowledge with the
help of Reesink. It’s a real testament to Rob and his commitment, but also to Reesink and the
fantastic customer service that they provide.
